Mind if I brag for a minute?

It is official, we successfully launched www.GiftCardLab.com yesterday. The launched was announced by Visa in a press release and you know Visa does do that for just anything...which means I'm somewhat of a rockstar now...LOL

GiftCardLab.com is the first product developed by our joint venture with Serverside Graphics, who is based in London and owns the patents and technology related to custom card creation. Not only do they own some really cool technology, they are also a wonderful group of people and we learned pretty quickly during our Visa Buxx launch that we were going to be great partners and friends. Over dinner one night, which you know included a fair amount of boos...they are Brits you know...we formulated the idea for what is now GiftCardLab.com.

For PAYjr, I wanted to provide some scale to our business and with the idea of bringing our cost down on custom cards for Visa Buxx, I figured we could hit higher volume tiers with the added volume of a custom Gift Card. I'll also admit...I just love building unique and disruptive products that people love - my Legos just happen to be payment networks and products - if my first job would have been in electronics - I'd probably be Steve Jobs right now...ok, maybe a bit much. ;)

That dinner was on June 7th and here we are now with world's first design-your-own Visa Gift Card available to anyone who wants one! Talk about an amazing feat and raises a good point I can't forget to mention - I don't actually put the Legos together myself...I work with a wonderfully talented and committed group of people here at PAYjr who frankly make my job pretty darn easy. Lets put it this way...if my first jobs would have been in electronics...my team would have launched iPhone back in 2002. Seriously though, the whole PAYjr teams deserves an enormous amount of credit, I couldn't ask for a better team.

Team making a toast to GiftCardLab
As you can see we did provide champagne but the drink of choice for the toast was coffee...wonder why...could it be the 80hr weeks?

In addition, I want to give credit and say thanks to all of our wonderful partners: Serverside Graphics, FSV Payments, Personix, BankFirst, Ogilvy Public Relations, CyberSource, Bank of America Merchant Services, Protel, and last but certainly not least Visa.

I'm going to stop there, one because I know you have a limited attention span and two...I feel like my investors will start to ask why they pay my salary once hear who really did all the work...

Till next time - Earn Smart. Spend Smart. Gift Smart.
